What started as a casual conversation among a small group of Charlotte area women in 1991 has grown into an international movement of women empowering women through affordable housing. To date, nearly 5,700 homes have been constructed by crews of women in the U.S. and around the world.
For more than thirty years, Habitat Charlotte Region has continued to bring together women throughout the Charlotte region who collectively make an impact on affordable homeownership in the communities in which they live and work.
Women Build will kick off in March across the Charlotte Region and will continue through the summer. Come and join us to continue the wonderful tradition of empowering women around the world!
